Testimonials

Listen to how MusicWorks services address the needs of senior clients:

“My mother suffered a stroke and we feared her time had come. With music therapy, my mother’s condition improved. She was less depressed and anxious, leaving her more energetic and happy. Thank God for music therapy. Here’s my mother’s reaction after music therapy. ‘It would be wonderful if I could experience music therapy seven days a week. It makes me feel tremendous.'”

One senior client finds MusicWorks benefits sheer “joy”:

“Music to me is better than medicine. It helps to maintain a quality of life and change my energy and moods. A certified joy therapist, the whole experience lifts your spirits. It reminds me of my childhood when I worked for a wonderful Irish lady. She always had Irish music playing while I helped with the housework. Nothing takes the place of memories like music.”

A MusicWorks family joins in sessions to be closer to their mother:

“My family and I would like to thank you very much for bringing some happiness to our mother. She enjoys listening to the great music and the fabulous songs. My mother also enjoys playing the instruments and singing the songs that remind her of the good times from her past.”

A family member shares the benefit of music therapy:

“MusicWorks came into my uncle’s life several years ago and remained in his life right up until his recent passing. My Uncle Anthony, first met Jerry at his Group Home.  The small group session was for Uncle Anthony and two other residents.  When I visited my uncle, he would always tell me about Jerry coming and how much he enjoyed singing with him.  During the past year, Uncle Anthony began to attend sessions at the MusicWorks Havertown location every Saturday. Not too long ago, I decided to surprise him and attend one of the sessions. Emily conducted the session that day, and I came away from that experience with memories that will always make me smile. Uncle Anthony truly loved every moment he spent in Music Therapy! I thank all of you at MusicWorks for the joy you brought into Uncle Anthony’s life.  They say that music touches the soul, and the work you do certainly proves that.”
